Still to this day, two of the biggest figures in the basketball world are former Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls legends and Hall of Famers Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan.

In the decades since retiring, both have evolved into prominent entrepreneurs. Most recently, Jordan made headlines as co-owner of 23XI Racing, the NASCAR team he launched alongside Denny Hamlin.

Jordan has been in attendance for all three races, cheering alongside Reddick’s crew. And while he won each of his six NBA championship appearances with the Chicago Bulls, we may now be seeing similar flashes of that competitive fire every time one of his drivers crosses the finish line first.

“I’m proud of the team we put together,” Michael Jordan said, calling Denny Hamlin the “mastermind” behind the team’s success.

“I just put up the money,” Jordan added. “I’m just a competitor… Denny’s done an incredible job building this team.”

The next NASCAR race takes place this weekend, when drivers compete in the GOVX 200 in Phoenix. Jordan revealed during his interview that he plans to attend once again, hoping to witness a potential fourth consecutive win while cheering on Reddick and the rest of his drivers.
