TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Winter, a member of the K-pop group aespa, has been diagnosed with shingles (herpes zoster) and will not participate in the group's concert in Dallas, Texas, USA.
According to a report by Soompi on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, local time, as cited by Antara, Winter experienced health issues prior to the group's performance in Miami on September 26.
Despite these health concerns, Winter was determined to perform on stage alongside the other members.
However, her condition did not improve after the show; she visited a hospital and was diagnosed with shingles.
Her agency, SM Entertainment, stated that although Winter was committed to performing at the Dallas concert, she ultimately had to follow medical advice and take time to rest.
"Her health and proper recovery must be the priority," the agency wrote.
The agency also announced that the "Hi-Bye" and "Send-Off" events would proceed with the three remaining members: Karina, Giselle, and Ningning.
Winter expressed regret at having to share this news with the fans who were looking forward to meeting her.
"We sincerely ask for your understanding regarding this unexpected announcement. We will do our utmost to ensure Winter gets sufficient rest and supports her recovery so that she can return in good health and meet fans again," the agency concluded.
