The players were divided into two groups: prodigies and child prodigies (ages 8 to 12). They competed in a round-robin format, with the top two players from each group advancing to the finals. Ultimately, Dao Van Trong (Quang Ninh) won the title of Champion in the prodigy group. In the child prodigy group, Hoang Manh Hung (Bac Ninh) won first place.
