In the fuel price adjustment period of October 15, 2026, due to the simultaneous decrease in global fuel prices, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that the prices of popular products on the Vietnamese market also decreased, except for 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (which increased by 1,043 VND/kg). All gasoline products decreased by more than 1,000 VND/liter.
Notably, immediately after the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced the regulated prices, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex ) issued a notice: "Applying a selling price 300 VND/liter lower for gasoline, diesel, and fuel oil (FO) compared to the price announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade." Petrolimex will apply this reduction until at least October 29, 2026 (through next week's price adjustment period). "This reduction corresponds to the maximum profit margin calculated in the base price of petroleum products," a Petrolimex representative stated.
