A recent post has warmed the hearts of many Malaysians after a woman shared a thoughtful gesture by her helper, who had gone out of her way to do something special for her family.
Taking to Threads, Diana (@dianamohd__ / @foodhunters_official) shared that her helper had just received her salary and had bought several items, which arrived at their home in parcels.
Kind helper uses her salary to buy baby essentials for employer’s child
Diana shared that she was initially surprised when her helper’s parcels arrived, only to discover that almost everything she had purchased was meant for her baby.
She then revealed that the items were actually supplies for Diana’s child to use over the next two months.
In the photos and videos attached to the post, the helper could be seen unboxing the parcels, which contained items such as a baby porridge cooker, baby food containers, a pacifier and ice trays. She had even gone the extra mile to buy a perfume for Diana.
When Diana asked her helper why she had gone out of her way to buy all these items, her helper explained that her own child never had the chance to experience these things growing up, so she wanted Diana’s child to have them instead.
“My helper just got paid, you know. Her parcel arrived today, and guess what she bought? She bought supplies for my child to use for the next two months! She said her own child never got to experience these things before, so she wanted to buy them for mine. She even bought me a perfume. I’m honestly so touched,” the caption read.
